Summer vacation August 2009 at Vemmingbund, a part of Sonderborg Bay

Vemmingbund, indtil 25 m dyb og 1,5 km bred vig, der fra Sønderborg Bugt skærer sig ind i landskabet og næsten adskiller Broager Lands randmoræner fra Sundeveds Dybbøl Banke. Farvandet udgør en inderlavning dannet under et af de sidste fremstød af Lillebæltsgletscheren i slutningen af den sidste istid. *********************************** Vemmingbund, an until 25 m deep and 1.5 km wide cove, from Sønderborg Bay cut into the landscape and almost separates Broager Lands land moraines from Sundeveds Dybbøl Bank. The waters are an inner dip formed during one of the last drives of the Lillebælts Glacier at the end of the last Ice Age.
